become a KIPPster! enroll at KAO

all of us will learn.
all our KIPPsters will go to college.
work with us to get your child there.

commitment

KIPP Academy of Opportunity will provide a safe family environment where every teacher, student, and parent is dedicated to help each student succeed.  We all commit together to think, work, and behave in the best way that we know how and do whatever it takes for all students to learn.

longer hours = more time to learn

Students will be in school longer hours during the week (7:30 – 5 pm), two Saturdays per month and three weeks during the summer.  The curriculum is rigorous and will include at least 1 hour of homework every day.  All students will participate in field lessons and will have the opportunity to earn an end of year weeklong trip out of town.

the best teachers

Teachers are exceptional, innovative, rigorous, caring, and effective educators, committed to every students' learning -- making no excuses about a student’s educational history or demographic background.  Every teacher has a cell phone and is available for help with homework in the evenings.
